What is a Production Builder?

Production builders provide the majority of the new construction in the Greater Austin Area. A production builder is a builder that has a large number of homes under construction at the same time. This allows the builder to reduce costs and pass the savings on to you. Most production builders have Model Homes and build "spec homes" which are homes that are started and sometimes completed before  the buider has a contract with a Buyer.

You can still have a home built just for you but your choice of lots, floor plans, finish materials and custom changes are limited. As a rule, the higher the price, the more choices are offered.
