What is a Production Builder?

Production builders provide most new construction in the Greater Austin Area. A production builder is a builder that has many homes under construction at the same time. This allows the builder to reduce costs and pass the savings on to you. Most production builders have Model Homes and build "spec homes" that are started and sometimes completed before the builder has a contract with a Buyer.

You can still have a home built just for you but your choice of lots, floor plans, finish materials, and custom changes are limited.  As a rule, the higher the price, the more choices are offered.  Below is a list of the majority of production builders working in the Greater Austin Area and links to their websites showing the location and price range of their communities.
